- I've considered porting imake to our Concurrent 7100, but I don't have the
- time to attempt it right now. For the time being, I run imake on another
- machine and edit the Makefile as appropriate for RTU. If I do get around
- to porting imake, I'll post a message here and make the port available.
-
- In the meantime, if anyone beats me too it, please let me know.
-
- On a related matter, does anyone know what release of X is included in
- SP-X11? It's obviously not a full X11R4 release, due to several missing
- pieces (imake, libXext.a, several header files) and due to some older
- clients (e.g. xpr). However, my understanding was that xdm, which is
- included, only came out in X11R4. I get the impression that SP-X11 is
- a bizarre hybrid of some R4 code with mostly older code. You'd think that
- at the prices Concurrent is charging for their software, they'd at least
- make an attempt to keep up with the times, instead of letting their customers
- go scrounging around for important programs that they never bothered to port
- themselves.
-
- Ditto for their brain-dead NFS implementation. (Disenchanted with Concurrent?
- Who? Me? Absolutely!)
