- I have a friend who is trying to boot an "old" AT&T 3B2 computer running
- unix whose hard disk has had some key files rearranged by accident making
- it unbootable. In reading the documentation, it appears the system can be
- booted from a "bootable floppy" or "bootable cartridge". It has a floppy
- drive (standard 5 1/4) built into the computer cabinet and an external
- cartridge tape device. He's looking for someone who has some type of
- bootable media.
-
- He has a second question that relates to the first in that the documentation
- also says that he should be able to reload the minimum operating system using
- the CORE system floppies. He has these floppies, but is unable to cause
- the system to read them. The floppy "activity" light does light up, but
- doesn't appear to read anything off of the floppies.
-
- Any suggestions are VERY welcome.

- Please respond by emailing Tim at dibenet@lldmpc.dnet.dupont.com. Thanks.
