- Situation:
- MegaSTe - Tos 2.06 - Maxtor 120 meg HD
- 1040 STfm - Tos 1.02 (I think, I know not .04)
-
- I want to see what a midi network will do for the 1040, even if slow
- transfer times.
- mx2net: did run ok, but on partitions larger than 16 megs, the 1040 choked
- it seems... havent a a pre-tos 2.0 machine in a while, but I rememeber this as
- a problem. Is there a way around this? Is this also a problem then for the
- 1040 when accessing the maxtor remotely?
- anet: this loads fine on the machines, but with the minimal docs with it,
- I am not sure if something is set up wrong, but I cannot get any remote access
- at all, is anyone familiar with this program?
- mikenet: this looks to be the newest of the shareware lot, but the .arj file
- at umich has 3 files, but the docs hint of more. It runs fine on the mega
- but gives 3 bombs on the 1040... any ideas at all on this one?
-
- So... any help appreciated, especially those who are currently running a
- midi network with one of the above, or some other one not mentioned. I am also
- going to be looking into the commercial offerings, but wanted to sample the
- shareware route first.
-
- Thanks in advance!
