  13. The binaries and sources for the new and MUCH faster version of MGIF have now
  14. been uploaded to atari.archive.
  15.  
  16. This version is based on the released sources for version 3.5. It does not
  17. include all the enhancements of version 3.7 which was only available in binary
  18. form. It does however allocate memory dynamically.

  20. You may have seen that the files are already in the Graphics directory at 
  21. atari.archive but, please, do not download the files dated November 11th.
  22. I made a small change to the program last night that cut the load time for non
  23. interlaced GIFs by a further 30%. This new version was uploaded today 
  24. (November 12th) and will soon replace the old one.

  26. The files you want are called:
  27.    mgif40b.zoo   -   binaries
  28.    mgif40s.zoo   -   sources for GCC 2.1, Lattice C 5.52 and Turbo C 2.0
  29.                      (they will probably work with other versions too)

  32. If you plan to compile the sources with Turbo C you have to disable nested
  33. comments. I forgot to mention this in the readme file in the source archive.
