- In a previous article, naffara@crc.ac.uk (Dr. N.A. Affara) says:
-
- >Everyone knows that the Falcons are late...
- >I agree that Atari should have tried to get the christmas market, *BUT*,
- >
- >Do you remember that Atari said the Falcons would be redesigned early next year
- >(with a TT style, ie a seperate box+keyboard)?
-
- No, I don't remember that.
-
- All I remember is Sam Tramiel saying, "No comment" to all questions about
- future machines.
-
- I bet we see a 33 MHz 68030 based PC-style case at the Fall COMDEX.
-
- And a 40 MHz 68040 PC/tower case within 6 months.
-
- There is no doubt in my mind that the Falcon030 will be sold in its
- 1040STe case. Atari needs a "home computer" to sell at WaldenSoftware and
- Electronic Boutique.
-

- >Maybe Atari are giving the few(?) ST style Falcons they have to developers so
- >that there will be lots of software, and also to a few dealers to show people
- >what the machine can do.
-
-
- I agree that they are giving developers TIME to develop (in which I'm hoping
- they are doing), but I think we will see the same Falcon030 on shelves in
- two-three months.
-
-
- Maybe Atari is attempting to get rid of all of the older 1040 STe and
- Mega STe units before shipping the Falcon030??
-
- Or maybe they are getting all of their factories ready for the entire
- Falcon series of computers.
