  12. I've just uploaded the latest version of my (and Dave Gymer's) BSD Unix-like
  13. init(8) package onto Atari.archive.umich.edu. The file you will find there
  14. (initsnb.zoo) is the source and binary distribution, I failed to upload the
  15. binary only distribution (initbin.zoo) because the tranfer kept failing with
  16. EDOTDOT errors, I will retry tomorrow.

  18. The changes from the original distribution include random salts for the
  19. password encryption, getty being able to change the speed of the serial
  20. ports (though this is dubious on the extra ports on the TT for some reason)
  21. and there are a few new programs including a fixed version of the Bourne
  22. Shell look-a-like, ash.

  26. PS. One other major improvement... init prints a copyright message with my
  27. name on it at boot time! :-)
