- More ramblings: No doubt there was something you could actually hold in
- your hand. I was lucky enough to get to combined Atari Wharehouse & Federated
- liquidation sale. You wouldn't have believed the stuff they had there. There
- was a computer in a bright blue plastic case named "Patty", four 1450 XLs
- with poorly fitting cases, 1400 XLs. There's even a color organ at Weird
- Stuff right now with the Atari brand name on it. At one time, Atari was about
- 7000 people & $2 billion/year in sales. You can't imagine the resulting
- prototypes/projects that come out of a company that size. I think it's down
- to about 200 employees now which explains the lack of new products we see.
- Really though, for a company their current size, they aren't doing that bad.
