- You cannot connect a SX212 to an Atari 8bit right out of the box. Like
- most modems, no cable is included. The Express! SX package comes with an
- Atari SIO cable and a slightly modified version of Keith Ledbetter's
- Express! 3.0 (Atari hired Keith to do the modifications) and Atari's
- handler for the SX212.
-
- There is nothing wrong with this package. It is a competent comm program.
-
- However, if you already have an extra SIO cable, and a copy of either
- Express! 3.0 or BobTerm (for those of you who have forgotten, neither of
- these programs is in the public domain, and the authors would welcome a
- couple bucks for their efforts!), you really won't gain a thing by
- purchasing the Atari package.
