- Wait a minute...you're telling me you like the Orca editor over uEmacs?
- Well, let's see....uEmacs doesn't have mouse support, which I think is
- fine because the mouse used with Orca 2.0 editor is just SLOW as cold
- maple syrup. I guess Mike threw the human interface guidelines out the
- window! OPEN-APPLE-1,2,3,4 for the file window? That makes no sense!
- It's a lot like ProTERMs human interface....some of those key combinations
- make no sense at all!
-
- And Orca fast? Depends on what you're doing...if you know how to use uEmacs
- then, I bet, you can do just as much, just as fast (if not faster) in Emacs.
- You also have the power of regular expression searches, and a whole lot of
- other features that Orca just can't hack. You can't open more than one
- window at once on the screen at the SAME time, which makes things like
- comparing parts of one file to
- another quite difficult (and I do this stuff a lot when I'm working with
- charts, and such things when programming), you can't execute shell commands
- from within the editor and then also PIPE it into the editor buffers...I mean
- there's just so much more that Emacs has that Orca just doesn't. I'm sorry,
- but IMHO, Emacs kicks the living sh*t out of Orca editor v2.0...and if you use
- it with GNO, well, there's no comparison....GNO what I mean?
-
- Now, if only we could have lcc.......'chaid! -- (who choses to ignore me) :)
