  16. Because chances are that the higher clock speeds don't conform to the more 
  17. rigid RF specifications used in Europe and Japan.  The FCC standards tend
  18. to be slightly more lenient than some of those others in certain areas.  But 
  19. I would be interested to see a GS tested for class B with a Zip running at 
  20. about 15 MHz or so..  The fact that the low power Zips and RamFASTs flake
  21. out sometimes could very well be due to them failing class A certification 
  22. which only specifies susceptability requirements.  Since they're only selling
  23. components and not the final computer, I'm not sure how the FCC regs work on
  24. that point.  I do know that any computer system used in the home that fails
  25. class B can get you fined $1000/day of use (after detection) and/or system
  26. confiscation.  And companies that MAKE computers that fail class B can get 
  27. entire shipments confiscated!
