-
- Having just given the program docs a perfunctory glance, I'd venture a
- guess that, for simplicity's sake, the author of the program, Mike Gooding,
- simply uses the GS port only for his program, instead of having a couple of
- different drivers in the program.
-
- I've never found a need to have the time on my GS so astoundingly precise
- that I need the program... every so often, when I'm setting my watch or
- something, I'll check the GS time, but it's never been far enough off for
- it to cause a problem for me (what, a second or two? %)
-
- But, if you really want to use the program, just borrow your buddy's
- external modem for the minute or so it'll take to run the program... :)
- At least until the author comes out with another version which will
- support internal modems... :)
-
- And, speaking of which, why don't you drop the author a line and ask him
- about it... if he doesn't figure anyone out here is using the program, or
- if he doesn't hear about anyone with an internal modem wanting to use the
- program, but can't, he may never bother... he might not bother anyway, but
- it's worth a shot, and the guy who wrote the program can update it lots
- easier than someone hacking it, especially if he's already working on
- some other upgrade... :)
-
- Mike Gooding's contact points are in the docs for TimeMaster, but the
- e-mail options are:
- GEnie: M. Gooding
- CompuServe: 72627, 1365
- AmerOnline: ArchMike

-
- Most BBSs and sites with network access have some means of tacking the net
- signatures on the end of messages, and many users personalize their
- signature with art, quotes, etc. The latter only takes a text editor...
- :) For automatically adding the net signatures to your messages, ask
- someone at your site... if you're using software that doesn't automate
- it, then you can just add it yourself manually... ask your site sysop or
- coordinator for his rules and spiel on net sig protocol... I won't use
- bandwidth on it here... :)
