  12. I can't resist entering the language fray :)  If you
  13. want to bash strings (language processing, parsing,
  14. etc) I don't think you can beat SNOBOL (SPITBOL for
  15. compiled versions).  I have used it and LISP and
  16. while SNOBOL is even less "intuitive" than LISP
  17. it has some wonderfully powerful tools for
  18. bashing strings of tokens (words).
