- No. It might be possible to have a kernel cooperate with exec (or run
- on top of exec). This was discussed as an option for running Unix before the
- Sys V port was done. Also, for _legitimate_ OS writers, it is possible that
- special arrangements might be made. The only people I can think of at this
- point that would fall into that catagory would be the Mach people (eventually,
- I don't think they're that far yet), the minix people, and AMAX. Even in those
- cases, I would expect that we would want to require tight controls on access
- to any information we supplied (easier for AMAX, harder for Mach/Minix for
- obvious reasons).
