- I just bought AMOS Professional 1.0 and am incredibly impressed.
- There are 6 disks in the installation package plus a huge manual
- that is very well organized and attractive... There are many new
- features and the overall look of the program has been jazzed up.
- I can see why Amiga Format and CU Amiga gave this program a 97%!
-
- I would like to get in contact with other AMOS programmers and
- get some example files... are there any tutorial books available?
- I have programmed in BASIC a long time ago and more recently in
- PASCAL... AMOS looks very easy to pick up with little experience
- but I'd like to see some professional quality programs to get
- some ideas of the techniques employed... is there a AMOS mailing
- list or ftp site for programs on internet? Anything? Anyone?
-
- Oh yeah, I called Europress and asked them about AMOS 3D and AMOS COMPILER.
-
- AMOS 3D is incompatible with AMOS PRO. Europress is trying to get the
- team that wrote AMOS 3D to write a PD Extension patch to make it compatible.
- It will be released into the public domain whenever they finish.
-
- AMOS COMPILER is only compatible with AMOS PRO created files that are saved
- as AMOS 1.34 files... AMOS PRO auto-checks the files and saves them in AMOS
- 1.34 format if they don't use any of the new commands. AMOS COMPILER will
- be updated to the PRO version in February 1993...
