  21. Well I can't tell you what's wrong, but I can tell you I have had exactly the 
  22. problem you describe with my Impact Series2 A550+ HD.
  23. I assumed it was a problem with the power supply, basically because one night
  24. the thing made a loud pop, visable spark and stopped working.

  26. At the time the HD was about 2 months old, and still under waranty.
  27. GVP in Melbourne Australia, have been very good at replacing my power supplies
  28. so far we have had 4. They informed me last time that they have had 'some'
  29. trouble with their power supplies, but have changed suppliers or some such. I have not had any rouble with the current supply <yet>.
