  14. I've got a problem with a flaky Seagate ST-157N ahrd drive.  The symptoms are
  15. these:  I'll be sitting at the computer, when I'll hear a sound exactly like
  16. a hard drive spinning up.  I'll wait until the sounds go away, and try to
  17. access the drive, only to have the computer tell me that "Volume Warpdrive
  18. has a read/write error".  A cold boot will fix the problem for a while (a
  19. while being anything from 10 minutes to 3 days), but it's a recurring problem.

  21. I doubt that it's a stiction problem; I had a 157 with that problem, and it
  22. didn't act like this at all.  Any clues out there in net-land?
