- In general if you pick drives from the same manufacturer you should be
- okay (assuming that they are recent vintage, some old drives may not
- work with newer drives).

- The other alternative is to wait for the ATA spec to be adopted by
- all drive manufacturers. At the rate this is happening, the A9000
- may be out by then. :-)

- In any event, always get complete documentation for both drives, study
- it over and over, offer up a sacrifice to the appropriate drive diety of
- your choice, and hope for the best. :-) If a certian setup refuses to
- work, try swapping the drives, make the slave the master and the master
- the slave and try again.
