- I doubt you could get a machine with external IDE ports past FCC,
- since it's basically an straight ISA bus. Also, the maximum length for
- IDE cabling (total!) is 12 inches. Doesn't leave lots of room to put your
- external drive... As george said, master/slave compatibility in the IDE world
- is a can of worms, and it is or was especially bad in the early/cheap 2.5"
- drives.
