There's where you're wrong... Music is HARDER to copy perfectly than computer
software; a copy of a disk is perfect (ie there's no noticeable difference between
it and the original - unless it's cracked, in which case it's less likely to
damage your disk drive...), whereas music ALWAYS loses something (unless you have
a DAT recorder, of course :).
I generally copy music only to see if an album lives up to the standard of the
best track; if I like it, I'll generally get it on CD. Your average pirate won't
do this, partly because software costs more than CDs (of course), but also because
HIS (or 'HER' of course, Paula L) copy is as playable as the original.
