  13. All right, enough about detachable keyboards...
  14. What I want to know is if you have to buy a new
  15. monitor for the A1200 to use the new graphics
  16. modes, whatever they are...

  18. I've a choice of spending $1100 to upgrade
  19. my A500 with the GVP 530 Turbo with 120 MB HD
  20. or waiting to see what the A1200 comes out with
  21. (hd, ram, price).  If I have to buy a new monitor
  22. it'll definitely swing me towards the GVP.
  23. I'm also not into rendering or 3D graphics and all
  24. that fancy smancy morphing.  So graphic resolution
  25. is not an issue with me.  I'm into word processing,
  26. databases, spreadsheets, and maybe scenery (after
  27. I get the accelerator) and maybe cheap video editing
  28. like using Video Director and video clip art of the
  29. DPaint resolution.  So is it really important to
  30. get the AGA chip set for what I want to do?  My
  31. husband says to get the GVP, but my coworker said
  32. to wait for the A1200.
