- Hello, world.
-
- Unfortunately, I have little time to follow this newsgroup any more, so
- I only occationally capture some messages to see what's happenning out there.
- I have printing question that I hope someone can help me with.
-
- I'm trying to get Compugraphic font output from Prowrite 3.2.2 to print
- to a Panasonic KXP-4450 (laser printer). The problem is, I don't have any
- panasonic driver, and no-one I can find knows where to get one. This is
- exactly what I'm trying to do:
-
- I have a resume that I would like to print on the laser printer, but it
- is at the office, and they only have IBMs. Therefore, I'm trying to use cmp to
- capture the output from the parallel port into a file on disk, which I would
- then take to work and do a COPY FOO.BAR LPT1:
-
- Presumably, this would then dump my output to the laser printer. I've
- tried this with the EpsonQ, X, and Xold drivers (Panasonic is supposed to be
- epson compatible) but I only get numeric garbage on the print-out.
-
- Perhaps what I'm trying to do is impossible, somebody enlighten me
- please. If anybody has _any_ panasonic drivers, please UUencode them and Email
- it to me (I don't get to see the list often, so all replies should be email).
-
- My next querry is this: Can somebody direct me to a GOOD (ie: working)
- font conversion utility that will convert other compugraphic formats to
- AmigaDos 2.0 format (why the proprietary difference, eh, C=? I know it must be
- a good reason). Postscript to Compugraphic, and Compugraphic to postscript. I
- really need fonts, and there just aren't any good Amiga-compatible
- compugraphics out there *sigh*.
