  22. Lemme guess.  Is your new drive, by any chance, one of the older Maxtor
  23. units, like an LXT200S or something?  There's some trouble with the ROMs
  24. on those drives that won't allow the machine to cold boot, hanging the
  25. SCSI bus with the symptoms you described.  I'm told there's no fix.
