- Gee, I can think of several tacks to take with such a customer:
-
- "Oh, if high density drives are all you're interested in, let's cut the
- computer our of the equation altogether! I can sell you SEVERAL HD
- drives for that price!"
-
- "Are you here to buy a computer or a disk drive?"
-
- So on and so forth...
-
- ]> I have to start making excuses. And then when they say "well, can I have
- ]> you put one in it?" I have to tell them no becouse Commodore won't sell me
- ]> the drive by itself.
-
- Um, gee, I guess the ones I've seen three of the 5 dealers here in SDiego
- selling are frauds, counterfeits, vapordrives? The part number for getting
- these little devils was announced quite some time ago.
-
- Not entirely your fault... C= dealer support bites. But maybe this too will
- improve with time. Keep at 'em! And if they don't want a 1200 with a LD
- drive in it, sell 'em a 3000! The drive is all that counts, right? Right!
-
- ]> If marketing has any questions, maybe they should ask their dealers before
- ]> they decide whats best for them.
-
- Amen.
