- I have Enforcer V37 (by M. Sinz) and the following hardware:
-
- A3000/25
- A2286 BB
- 8Mbytes fast
- 2Mbytes chip
- 2Mbytes 16 bit RAM on a 2091A controller (The SCSI has been disabled, I use
- it for the memory only.)
-
- I run Enforcer immediatly *after* setpatch and before binddrivers so that
- the caching for the A2286 is disabled.
-
- The problem is this; after booting if I type "enforcer off" in a cli, the
- machine crashes. If I comment out enforcer in my startup-sequence, I can
- turn enforcer on and off from the cli. If I un-comment the command to
- run enforcer in my startup-sequence and do a soft re-boot, I can then
- turn enforcer off without crashing.
-
- Earlier versions of enforcer didn't do this. What is happening and why.
-
- This problem came up when I wanted to run AIBB. It displayed a requester
- telling me to turn off enforcer. When I did, the machine crashed. At first I
- thought is awas a problem with AIBB, but subsequent experimentation eliminated
- this.
-
- AIBB also had trouble deciding if I had an MMU or not until I did a cold restart
- without running enforcer in my startup-sequence.
