- The big problem with an El cheapo networking solution like appletalk is that 1)
- it far too slow to be used in any real, heavy-duty large scale networking
- environment, and 2) the additional costs aren't justified for the bulk of the
- users out there(not just for Amigas, but all users). If you notice, very few
- PCs are sold today with networking software and hardware built in. OS/2
- doesn't have it, DOS doesn't have it, and Windows doesn't have it. Ethernet,
- T/R, and ARCnet are more important because even though it is more expensive, it
- is more useful in a large scale environment, and the extra bandwidth easily
- outweighs any other consideration.
