- Don't ever underestimate the power of an 68000 :) Networking isn't limited
- to a setup where you have "workstations" with little resources and "servers"
- providing the resources. Networking also means communication over long haul
- networks or just remote control of some machinery. Having a "standard" way
- to do this is worth the effort.

- Of course such a feature isn't needed as a standard part of the OS,
- an add-on would do the same. But then C= announced networking support
- for AmigaOS 3.1 ;-)
