- Yep, I finally figured that out, but it took a while. I really _don't_ like
- the manual for that controller. I've seen worse, but it really leaves a LOT
- to the imagination. I don't like manuals, and software, that include
- options, but say things like "This is the INTERLEAVE field. Don't change
- this value as it has been determined to be optimum as is", but nothing more
- about it. Also, in order to add the Maxtor I had to remove the SCSI
- terminators from the CONTROLER itself, when Maxtor told me to take them off
- the drive. I couldn't find ANY reference to this in the manual at all, and
- only thru 5 coast-to-coast calls (daytime) did I finally get all the
- information needed to get the system properly configured. Probably cost me
- $25 in phone calls to get answers that should have been stated clearly in
- the manual. The technician I talked to was friendly enough, but didn't seem
- to know anything about the manual, and never mentioned a thing about
- changing AUTO to DHx (I had to figure that out for myself). But now that
- it's all set up it's a nice, fast, quiet drive, especially compared to my
- Seacrate 296N...!
