  25.     Reagan was a smoke and mirrors pretty boy that convinced people
  26.     to believe the smoke was solid. Bush wasn't much of anything
  27.     really. My guess is Clinton will be an average/so-so President.

  32.     matter what the President does/is as their main job is to distract

  35.     As a practical matter, it is the congressional STAFF, who's never
  36.     elected or reviewed by the public, that actually writes and pushes
  37.     through laws.

  39.     Most of the time our US congress critters just rubber stamp
  40.     what their staff shoves in front of them. Who's President doesn't
  41.     effect this MAJOR part of law making although it does effect
  42.     the entertainment factor comming out of the white house and

  45.     I found it humorous that Clinton said he wanted to reduce staff
  46.     levels; HA! The staff will be able to immediately nix any legislation
  47.     that would do this, they filter EVERYTHING a congress critter sees so
  48.     if the staff doesn't like it, the elected critters don't see it.

  50.     Maybe we should worry about the REAL problems rather than who's the
  51.     current figurehead/chief entertainer?
