- Dear Hardware Hackers,
- I've got an old A500 Rev 6a on my table, and, as I've got no board
- information/schematics, I've got a question:
- At the front (keyboard side) of the board there is the memory, half a meg
- of chipmem (4 x 256, 4 pcs), and 4 empty places named U20 to U23, with
- according capacitors named C20 to C23. I just populated them with the
- chips and caps, but the memory doesn't show up, although the text above
- the empty sockets states "512K/1Meg Memory".
- Q1: Do I have to jumper some things around?
- Q2: Do the places for resistor packs halfway beween the memory and the
- ROM (Approximately...), which are labled RP109 and RP111 have to be
- populated? And if so, with what (680 K?)?
-
- This question is rather urgent, as this machine is the only Amiga
- in our local computer club... and they want it back soon, with more chip ;)

- Yours, Christian Treczoks (TRECZOKS@Rhea.Informatik.Uni-Bonn.de)
