- I have a 2000 w/WB2.0, CSA-MMR, a IVS GrandSlam (= TrumpcardPro) and have a
- Seagate ST296N 5.25" HD with 2 partitions. Today I added a Maxtor 7120 3.5"
- HD mounted (rather tightly I might add) to the SCSI hardcard. My intention
- is to create 2 partitions on the Maxtor and make it my boot drive after
- copying over the data from the older Seagate, which I will continue to use
- for backup, etc. So, I formatted the Maxtor with the IVS tools, naming the
- 2 partitions "Max1" and "Max2", leaving them, for now, non-bootable. Then I
- copied all my data from the Seagate boot partition, making sure not to
- overwrite the Disk.info file. Everything looked fine until I rebooted. Now,
- the Seagate partitions DH0: and DH1: are mounted, but DH2: now is assigned
- to DH0: and DH3: is assigned to DH1:, so if I 'cd dh3:' it takes me to the
- Seagate dh1: partition. Max2: seems to be mounted properly, but Max1:
- (which I expected to be dh2:), is no longer mounted. (Boy this sounds
- confusing!). Anyway....how do I get my data from the Seagate to the Maxtor,
- and rename all partitions so that they're recognized as dh0:-dh3:, with
- dh0: and dh1: on the Maxtor and dh2: and dh3: on the Seagate??? It's
- probably a very simple problem, but after working on this sucker all day I
- can't think any more... (email appreciated on this!)
