  32. While never experiencing exactly the same problems you have, I have had
  33. difficulty with Syquests carts before (naturally).  After I got SCSI Mounter
  34. most of the problems went away, except one.  When I'd bring my Syquest to class
  35. (I have an external 88 M) it would lock up any machine I hooked it to.  Turn
  36. off the computer, hook up Syquest to SCSI port (we have GVP's at school), turn
  37. on computer, it would execute the first couple of lines in the startup-sequence
  38. and then freeze.  Someone noticed that the cable connecting the drive to the
  39. Amiga was the one usually used to connect the Macs we have to Syquests.  After
  40. the cable was switched to a different one, everything was fine; so it was just
  41. the cable.  I not sure exactly why one cable should make a difference over
  42. another but if i had to guess I'd say that not all cables have the same pinout
  43. configurations, maybe they're not carrying some neccessary ground wire or
  44. something.
