- It is pure arrogance on a presidents part to blame Congress for
- nothing being accomplished. The idea is that the President is supposed to work
- with the Congress, not against it. Bush and Reagan consistenly put
- forth proposals which they knew Congress would never deal with.
- Congress did exactly the same. Bush even put forth 7 proposals, which
- Congress went with which Bush then vetoed 6 of them.

- The proof is not in the pudding. The American people are the idiots
- who said that they were not going to reelect the incumbents and then
- proceeded to do exactly that. Not just that, but the very bad ones
- too: bad check writers, criminals, ...

- I agree that we shall have to wait and see what gets done. I don't
- think that the media is pro-democratic, but that there is more trash
- to cover on the Bush admin. BTW- did you look at the amount of money
- that went to the various campaigns? Bush got almost 7 times as much
- PAC money than did Clinton/Gore.
