- For many reasons! First of all, if you're in the high resolution,
- you limit yourself to 16 colors! Second. If you go in Lo-Res you
- can use the amiga HAM mode, but still, the 4096 colors are not
- modifiable - like the GIF pictures palette us chosen from a
- somewhat greater (like 32000-16.7 mill) palette. So don't get any
- illusions.

- 1) Are they grayscale gifs, use pgm2shd and show 151 gray scale
- at one time on your standard amiga (using monochrome !)

- 2) Convert them to IFF via a program that supports F/S dithering.
- 16 colors should do then.

- 3) Convert them to dynamic hires. Still - only 16 colors pr. scan
- line, but...

- 4) Stick the GIFs where the sun doesn't shine and watch some IFFs.
