- Yep, true. But do you remember the beginning of the thread? It was some geek
- coming in out of the blue with his assertation that BAUD <> BPS, which is true,
- but in such a way as to make himself look pretty damned intelligent. Which
- would've worked except he had atrocious grammar and spelling, of course. Ah,
- welladay, I suppose he was from Europe and that excuses it.
-
- All of course has little to do with B v B, but just to refresh everyone's
- memory and to clue those who joined the thread late as to why I'm particularly
- steamed. Well. I'll pick this sub-thread up in a momemt, it's time now,
- however, to answer reader mail:

- Good for you. Write Mom and let her know :-) (netters. can never figure

- In fact, I intend to go lay on the freeway during rush hour. Rush Limbaugh
- hour, that is.

- <NEWSFLASH>
-
- Grimmett admits it: Baud = transitional measurment, bps = throughput. Now
- back to the thread, which has nothing to do with either:

- Ah, yeah. Now I remember. A couple of weeks ago the NPR show "What do ya
- know?" was covering the election, and the subject in one case was Clinton's
- blue-ribbon panel of nobel-prize winning economists. A little plagarism, a
- little paraphrasing...
