- That is, my friend, exactly what I wrote...
- No charset uses both 7-bit national characters and 8-bit IBM graphic
- characters. Check with ISO (or in the swedish case SIS) and you'll see.
-
- If you want swedish chars and IBM graphics characters, use the IBM (aka PC8,
- CodePage437) charset. They include all the swedish characters and (of course)
- all the graphic characters. Why mix charsets?

-
- Yes, I didn't say it wasn't. I merely said that there is no charset having
- this combination.
- You can hack up anything you like. I wouldn't, however, call that a standard
- charset which should be included in programs such as Term.

- Call a better BBS.

-
- I do.
- Everytime I log on at a site with such a charset in use I ask the sysop.
- No one has yet answered anything else than "everybody else use it" and to the
- question why they don't use the full IBM charset for graphics most sysops
- can't give a straight answer.
-
- Pathetic.
-
- > That's why such a charset is needed.
-
- Boycott these stupid systems and we'll all be a lot happier.
