- Very simple. If the BBS you are calling has some brain-dead software that
- doesn't translate messages and offer the user the selection of his or hers
- preferred character set, then you are stuck with the mix, since some people
- use 7-bit and some others PC8 in the mail areas. GIGO. Some people insist on
- calling such systems, strangely enough. Perhaps they do not know better. :)

- Me, I avoid slow ANSI and PC8 menus like the plauge, but that's a matter of
