- I don't agree there. When speaking about comms, I think you'll find a
- hell of a lot of people who consider that baud and bps don't mean the
- same thing.

- The misuse of the language which you are trying to protect will only ever
- serve its purpose if everyone attaches the same meaning to baud/bps as
- you do. However, in this discussion, you've seen many examples of people
- who laugh in your face as you cling to the notion that baud and bps are
- equivalent terms. So, how can you say that language is serving its
- purpose when you know that the terms don't necessarily bear any relation
- to each other?
