  19. True indeed.  That electrical signal has entered my property.  I also have a
  20. right to know who is signaling me - same as having a right to look out my
  21. door and see who is there.  If you want to talk to me, I want to know who
  22. you are, otherwise, don't bother - you've a right not to call too.

  24. Actually, the phone company keeps records on all calls anyways, so caller ID
  25. is nothing new.  It just places the info in the users hands immediately,
  26. instead of a short wait on the phone company records.
