- I got the mailout info on the Sunrize boards. The 16-bit board looks very
- nice. They say the DAT I/O interface is not yet available and I doubt that we
- will see this crucial part soon. So, unless you have a giant mutant hd from
- Cheyrnobal or something, you can't get that much out of it. If the DAT I/O
- board does appear, then the possibilities are interesting. How about backing
- up a hard drive on an audio DAT. It would really be interesting to use the
- DSP to store any digital data on an analog machine. We have a Sony componant
- in our electronic music lab that stores PCM digital info on any VHS machine.
- I'll bet it could be for computers, but correct me if I'm wrong.
- PS. I expect to see a few more 16 bit boards coming out to make pricing
- competitive. Anyone seen/heard/priced Maestro yet?
- Any responses or flames appreciated.
