  24. Hmm... seems that I've been doing multiple backups to tape using QB for some
  25. time now.  I normally do full backups, so I have little hands on experience
  26. with differential backups using this setup.  The only problem I've had is
  27. trying to convince QB to skip to the proper backup session on the tape
  28. when restoring.  I finally found that the following sequence worked fairly
  29. well:
  30. insert tape,
  31. request restore - so QB reads the session log off tape
  32. skip to next part of tape
  33. request restore - so QB reads the session log
  34. ...
  35. etc..
  36. I found that if I didn't have it read the log off tape for each session,
  37. that I cound not get it to skip to the proper session properly (say the 
  38. forth backup session on the tape)
  39.  
  40. this is on an A2500 + cbm tape drive -- checked w/ 2.04 and later
  41.  
  42. anybody else have these problems - any more elegant fixes?
