- Hi! I'm having a little trouble getting things set on my 7300.
-
- I'm trying to download software off OSU, but something's getting
- snagged somewhere. I have Version 2.0 of the operating system,
- a 20 meg disk, and 1 meg of ram. Here's my (rather kludgy) process
- for getting programs to the 3B1:
-
- First problem: I don't have an uncompress on the 7300, so my first
- goal is to get one. I FTPed pub/att7300/archivers/compress.cpio from
- OSU, in binary format. Then I'm used kermit to download it via a
- 9600 baud modem to my IBM clone. Then I floppy it to the 7300 and
- use the UA "read MS-DOS Disk" gadget to copy it onto the 7300 hard
- disk.
-
- When I cpio -icduvm, I'm greeted with the message: Out of phase--get help
-
- What does this mean? The manual is completely devoid of information...
- As soon as I get this to work I plan to get mtools, then get kermit running
- on the 7300, then start getting slip working, so I don't have to
- keep jumping thru hoops...
-
- thanks for any help...
