- The half-height case on my 7300 leaves little space for the video cable
- running from the left side of the M/B to the central monitor pivot. If
- it is not exactly aligned in its cut-out, the top won't reseat properly.
- I suspect the cable, which isn't very flexible, is interfering with
- your floppy drive mechanism in some way. A really peverse cable could
- do this even in the more spacious full-height 3b1 top.
