  36. steve's right -- don't panic.  my monitor hasn't died yet, but the
  37. first thing i'd do would be to replace the capacitor and try it... you
  38. can always get lucky...
  39. i was just dealing from my experience with programmers; the software
  40. types around here are like kids -- you can't let them play
  41. unsupervised ;^) .
  42. the gist of my message -- don't wait for _total_ failure; a little
  43. preventive maintenance is much easier.
