- Hello everyone! I have a 486 with a SB Pro sound card. I have to choose
- a project for my bachelors degree in comp. sci. I am in my last year
- and I have one month until project submissions deadline, then I will
- have another 3 months to finish it.
-
- I have always been interested in speech recognition and i am debating
- whether or not to use this as my project. I have just got my SB Pro
- card 2 weeks ago, so I am not familliar with it, and I have no prior
- experience with "sound" projects or theory. Can anyone tell me whether
- or not I should try this for my project, What difficulty level am I
- facing if I wish to do so, Can I do with my sound blaster? What kind
- of programming challenges await me? Where should I start to look up
- such a subject, what "theory" is involved? In other words any insight
- on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

- Thanks a million!
