- Rather than believe that we in Computer Science are the first ones to
- face these issues, maybe we ought to ask if other professions have
- similar "productivity" differences? My bet is that if someone were to
- measure the productivity of architects, you'd find a similar 10-1
- range, and you'd also find the 10-1 difference later on (in the well
- designed building with everything works well and takes no maintenance
- vs. the poorly designed one where time is spent repairing flaws or
- working around a bad layout all the time.)

- about the difference in productivity?" but and instead focus on
- "How can we sort out the people who are (or will be) good from those
- who aren't?"
