  20. Authors are invited to submit papers describing recent advances on all aspect 
  21. of parallel/distributed processing. These may include parallel/distributed 
  22. logic circuits, impact of VLSI to parallel processor architecture; various 
  23. concurrent-, parallel-, pipeline-, or multiple-processor architectures; 
  24. processor-memory interconnections; computer networks; distributed databases; 
  25. reliability and fault tolerance; modeling and simulation techniques; 
  26. performance measurements; operating systems; languages; compilers; algorithms; 
  27. or various application studies.

  30. The deadline for submitting papers is January 11,1993.

  56. Please limit the length of your paper to about 20 double-spaced typing pages, 
  57. and include tour office and/or home phone numbers as well as your electronic 
  58. mail address (if available). Authors who wish to keep their names from 
  59. reviewers should make their desires explicit when submitting their papers. 
  60. Submitted papers will be acknowledged promptly.

  62. Selected papers are published as regular or concise papers. Authors will be 
  63. notified of acceptance by March 20, 1993. Due to the large number of papers 
  64. we receive every year, authors are expected to help in reviewing papers for 
  65. the conference.

  69. CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS
  70. The regular papers and the summaries of the concise papers will be published 
  71. in the conference proceedings. Special sheets for the preparation of accepted 
  72. papers for the proceedings will be sent to each author.

  74. CONFERENCE AWARDS
  75. The conference will give the Daniel L. Slotnick Award for Most Original Paper. 
  76. In addition, a small number of awards may be given for Outstanding  Papers.
  77.  
  78. CONFERENCE ENVIRONMENT
  79. The conference is tentatively scheduled at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. 
  80. Charles, Illinois. Pheasant Run is only 45 minutes from Chicago's loop and 25 
  81. miles from O'Hare International Airport.
  82.  
  83. The Resort is located in DuPage County, Illinois, and is situated on 300 acres 
  84. in the beautiful Fox River Valley near St. Charles, Illinois. 
  85. The 500 newly renovated rooms are homely and gracious with scenic views of a 
  86. small lake or a beautiful golf course. On a clear day the Chicago sky line is 
  87. visible from the upper levels of its sleek 15 story Tower. 
  88. Special entertainment is available nightly. 
  89.  
  90. There is transportation available through the Hotel Transportation Department 
  91. between Phesant Run and O'Hare International Airport (or Midway Airport).

  93. Informal, open bar gatherings will be held nightly for the conference 
  94. participants.

  96. A conference brochure with pre-registration form and advance technical 
  97. program will be prepared and mailed in May/June 1993
  98.  
  99. TUTORIALS
  100. Tutorials relating to parallel and distributed systems will be offered.
  101.  
  102. Interested tutorial speakers are encouraged to submit full-day or half-day 
  103. tutorial proposals by March 1, 1993. The proposal should include a complete 
  104. set of viewgraphs. please send :
