  17. I am turning to the net for career advice.  This message is not
  18. soliciting jobs (though I would be glad to hear of any) and thus, I
  19. hope, will not be considered _too_ inappropriate.
  20.  
  21. I am graduating this December with a MSE in Systems Engineering.  I have
  22. concentrated in two areas throughout my academic career: real-time control 
  23. and manufacturing.  In beginning my job search I have found that, due to my 
  24. past experience and degree, I tend to be slotted into the "MIS" programming 
  25. field, an outcome which I most emphatically do not desire.

  27. Therefore, I have decided that I must take my case directly to companies, 
  28. rather than depending on on-campus recruiting or personnel offices.  I need
  29. suggestions as to what industries and specific companies could use my talents.
  30. I am restricted to the Philadelphia Metro area., including S. Jersey & 
  31. N. Delaware.

  33. If anyone could give me a few pieces of advice, or would be willing to
