  11. I am having a problem configuring my ethernet card on a PS/2 model 80
  12. I have an SMC 16 bit ethernet card.
  13. When I run the diagnostics I get the following:

  15.     8013WP/A
  16.     BASE I/O    =0800
  17.     IRQ INT         =3
  18.     RAM        =16k
  19.     RAM Address    =D8000
  20.     ROM        =Disabled
  21.     ROM Address    =C0000
  22.  
  23.     The card is in Slot 5
  24.  
  25. I am using the wd8003e.com (Nov 91) driver with the following setup:
  26.     wd8003e 0x60 -o 0x3 0x0800 0xD8000
  27.  
  28. The packet driver does not load.
  29.  
  30. I also tried the packet driver that came with the card:
  31.     8003pkdr.exe /s:5
  32. I have version 2.03
  33.  
  34. This packet driver does load, however when I run msdos-kermit 
  35. I get the following message
  36.     Unable to Connect to a Packet Driver
  37.     Cannot Initialize TCP/IP, quitting
  38.  
  39. I have gotten the wd8003e packet driver to work with non MCA machines
  40.  
  41. If anybody has a solution to this problem please e-mail it to me.

  53. I have been using the 8003pkdr.exe driver that comes with the SMC card, 
  54. version 2.03, without a problem. It's in the pkt_drv subdirectory on the 
  55. floppy that comes with the card. If you do not have version 2.03 you 
  56. can download it from vax.ftp.com or just send me a note and I'll put 
  57. copy somewhere you can find it.
