- I'm probably the only person on the planet who want this, but does anyone
- know of an implementation of unix "tar" for ms-dos which has tcp and the
- "rmt" protocol built in?
-
- this would allow me to integrate ms-dos backups with unix backups and
- make moving code a lot easier.
-
- If none exist, is this something others would like? (i.e. should I do
- it myself? I'd start with gnu-tar & gnu-lib for dos).
-
- I trolled around and found some packet-driver/pcip based tools (rsh,
- exec) but neither did stdio in a robust enough manner. Also, pipes
- under dos are nothing to write home about performance wise, so an
- integrated solution would be better.
