- I'm not certain that I understand the more subtle points here, but...
- Look, for example, at C-Kermit and M2Zmodem. C-Kermit can shell to M2Zmodem,
- and M2Zmodem gets the com port. This won't work for just any programs, but
- if your app can be passed the handle for the com port, you could login with
- C-Kermit, then shell to your program.
